With regard to the emphasis on career-technical pathways offered at City of Vision high schools, M’tucci’s Restaurants has entered into a partnership with the Rio Rancho High School Culinary Department.

The department is led by Billy Solivan and Hannah Norby.

Through this partnership, M’tucci’s – with four locations, including one in Rio Rancho — will provide a $1,000 grant to the department, as well as events and opportunities for students to participate in hands-on learning.

In addition to grant funding, M’tucci’s support for RRHS will include:

  • M’tucci’s Moderno and Operating Partners Robin Dibble and Jorge Monterrosa will hold a “Spirit Night” at the M’tucci’s Moderno Nov. 7 from 4-8 p.m. Any guest who mentions the “RRHS Spirit Night Fundraiser” will allocate 20 percent of their entire check to be donated to the RRHS Culinary Department.
  • M’tucci’s will provide “Shadow Shifts” at multiple M’tucci’s locations for students who are interested in experiencing hands-on exposure to the various restaurant positions to teach the importance of understanding how “all the pieces fit together.”
  • M’tucci’s chefs will provide “Chef Demos” on fresh pasta, fresh mozzarella, pickling and other M’tucci’s specialties.
  • M’tucci’s will provide guest speakers for RRHS on topics such as: Restaurant Management, Systems, Life Experience, Customer Service, and Understanding the Business.

“We’re thrilled to partner with RRHS in this unique program, and our entire team is dedicated to providing a rewarding partnership to enrich the experience of participating students,” said John Haas, M’tucci’s Restaurants president. “We strongly believe in building up our community, and we’re looking forward to working with local youth to develop skills and a passion for cooking.”
