In a few short weeks, I am going on a trip with my dad to Seattle.

This will be the first time he and I go on vacation just the two of us. Last time, I went to France with my mom. I recommend that trip to anyone, but if you go, take a good couple of weeks to go. There is a lot to see.

Seattle will be a bit different than France, of course, but I am excited either way. My dad and I have been planning to go since December.

There are a few highlights that I am especially ready for, though.

The first is I get to meet a whole bunch of family members I have only seen in photos. All of them are on my dad’s side.

I also get to go to my first Major League Baseball game between the Mariners and the Texas Rangers at T-Mobile Park.

I am a huge baseball fan. I grew up learning the game with my dad and frequent the Isotopes games in the summer, though this won’t be anything like the Isotopes. On top of that, one of my favorite movies is “A League of Their Own.”

While in Seattle, my dad and I plan on going to Pikes Place, Port Angeles and some other locations. If we are lucky with the weather, we might try to get into some nature. Though, Seattle is under rain rain rain most of the time.

A few other smaller items made it to the list as well, like Bruce Lee’s grave and Jimi Hendrix park. My inner white girl wants to see the first Starbucks, too.

The best part of it all will be spending time with my dad, though. I am very much his daughter and we have fun when we hang out.

Most of the things we do in Seattle will be of common interest like baseball, rock and roll and, of course, Bruce Lee.

Now, all I have to do is wait. Which sucks.
