I just finished 17 years of non-stop institutionalized education for life and my career.

Of course, I will still learn about both through experience.

Today, Dec. 16, 2022, I graduate from University of New Mexico with a bachelor’s in Multimedia Journalism.

It is a surreal experience to graduate from college. I have graduated from schools before. I graduated from pre-school, elementary school, middle school and high school.

But this is different because it is the last time I will be doing it (for now).

I am not sure if I should pursue a master’s degree.

College is kind of like Stockholm syndrome. You hate every second of it for the most part, but it grows on you and sometimes you decide to go back for more.

A master’s degree isn’t really necessary for me yet. I could continue, but it’s exhausting.

Now that I am in my career and school is done, the next step is my personal life.

My fiance, Brandon, and I are getting married in September 2023. No, we aren’t ready for kids yet, but we have plans for the future none the less.

It is funny: I have known of this person my whole life, but our love life has only existed for four years.

Yet, I feel as if we have been together our whole lives.

I can’t wait to see what happens next.
