Moore is an international singer, actress and historian who will provide a performance enacting the journey of one courageous woman from the Wild West.

Magoffin’s story is told through her diary, written beginning in June 1846 over a period of 15 months. After marrying at age 18, she sets out with her Santa Fe trader husband from New Mexico into Chihuahua.

Magoffin is one of several women who represented what it took to survive and thrive during very colorful and extremely challenging times in New Mexico’s Territorial Era.

This program will run approximately an hour and a half. Refreshments will be served.

This is a presentation of Corrales Historical Society Speaker Series and the New Mexico Humanities Council, made possible by grants from National Endowment for the Humanities.
