Folk singer-songwriter Mary Gauthier will perform at the Historic San Ysidro Church in Corrales on March 17.
“Music and song have always been a balm and a tonic for those who need a little help on their journeys, whether that’s needed in the form of inspiration, comfort, hope or relief,” it says on the tour flyer.
The performance is part of the True Heart Troubadours Tour featuring Tim O’Brien in duet with his wife Jan Fabricius and Jaimee Harris accompanying Gauthier.
Her recently released album, Dark Enough To See The Stars follows her book, Saved by a Song: The Art and Healing Power of Songwriting, and Rifles & Rosary Beads, her 2018 album that earned a Grammy nomination for Best Folk Album and an Album of the Year nomination from the Americana Music Association.
“I’ve never gone into a romantic love song phase,” Gauthier said. “I’ve always written about the end of love or the longing for love. It’s certainly not something I ever imagined I was capable of.”
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the concert starting at 7:30 p.m.
