A man suffered a gunshot wound in Enchanted Hills Wednesday morning, but police say there’s no danger to the public.
Rio Rancho Police Capt. Andrew Rodriguez said a 911 call about a man being shot in the 7000 block of Husky Drive about 10:40 a.m. Officers and emergency medical personnel responded and found a man in his 40s with a serious gunshot wound.
Rodriguez said the man was airlifted to the University of New Mexico Hospital in serious condition, and detectives would investigate for most of the day to determine what happened.
Police weren’t seeking a suspect.
“There’s no danger to the public,” Rodriguez said.
