A new study has revealed that the Las Vegas Raiders are the most expensive team to follow in the NFL this year.
Research conducted by Sidelines.io analyzed every team in the NFL to find which team was the most and least expensive. The metrics to calculate the highest cost were the prices of, an average ticket, a jersey, parking and a 16-oz beer and hotdog in the stadium.
The Las Vegas Raiders top the list as the most expensive NFL team to follow with a total of $273.47 per person per game, the report said. The Raiders have the highest average ticket price at $153.47 as well as the highest price for parking at $100. Fans will also find the most expensive hot dog in the NFL at the Allegiant Stadium costing $8.
The second most expensive team to be a fan of in the NFL is the San Francisco 49s with a total of $241.71 per person per game. This figure made up of their $139.71 average ticket price, $85 parking and $11.50 beer prices in the stadium. They are closely followed by the New England Patriots as the third most expensive team to follow with a total per person of $224.35 per game.
The Dallas Cowboys ($210 per game) and Carolina Panthers ($209.17 per game) are the fourth and fifth most expensive teams to follow with only 23¢ between them. Although the Cowboys boast cheaper tickets at $99.50, the Panthers have one of the cheapest hot dogs at $3 so good news if you’re a hungry Panthers fan.
Los Angeles Rams and the Washington Commanders take sixth and seventh place with the total price per person being $205.37 per game for the Rams and $191.07 per game for the Commanders. The Philadelphia Eagles, although ranked eighth with a total of $187.73 per game, have the most expensive beer prices in the NFL at $14.67 with the LA rams and Chargers in close second charging $13.75 for a 16 Oz beer.
The Green Bay Packers with a total price of $184.43 per game come in at ninth, with the average ticket costing $128.93 and a beer and Hot Dog costing $15.50 in total and parking costing the cheapest in the top 10 most expensive at $40.
The final place is taken by the Los Angeles Chargers, who are the cheapest NFL team on this list with a total cost per game of $182.13. They have the cheapest average tickets at $80.38 however the total price for a Beer and Hot Dog is $21.75 which is the most expensive in the NFL.
A spokesperson for Sidelines.io commented: “With the NFL in full swing fans can’t wait to get into stadiums to support their teams. However, to watch all 10 home games Raiders fans are going to be paying $2,734, making them the most expensive NFL team to watch this season, while the Cardinals are the cheapest with fans paying $1174.60 to attend all home games – a difference of more than $1,500. However, if it’s food and drink fans are worried about then Atlanta Falcons fans are in luck with the cheapest price for a beer and hot dog at $8.25.”
