NOTICE OF 15-DAY PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD
2021 HUD CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL PERFORMANCE EVALUATION REPORT
(CAPER)

The purpose of the 15-day Public Comment Period is to provide an opportunity for city residents to give input regarding the City’s 2021 HUD Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER). This Report discusses how the City allocated and expended its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. The CAPER addresses progress achieved in attaining goals and meeting its priorities.

A 15-day public comment period will begin on Sunday, September 11, 2022 and will end on Monday, September 26, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. All residents, property owners, persons with disabilities, immigrants, seniors, low-income, children and youth, homeless persons, and other stakeholders of the City of Rio Rancho are encouraged to submit written comments or questions regarding the draft 2021 CAPER to Tara Pawley, CDBG Grants Administrator, Department of Financial Services, 3200 Civic Center Circle NE, Suite 300, Rio Rancho, New Mexico 87144, or by e-mail at [email protected].

A copy of the draft 2021 CAPER, will be available on September 9, 2022 for public review during business hours at the Financial Services Department – 3200 Civic Center Circle, NE, Suite 300, Rio Rancho, NM and anytime on the City’s website at: www.rrnm.gov/CDBG.

Free copies of the 2021 CAPER are available at the Financial Services Department, upon request. In addition, the draft 2021 CAPER can be provided in alternative formats (i.e. Braille/large print, audio tape) for persons with disabilities and may also be translated into Spanish for limited-English-proficient (LEP) Spanish speaking persons, upon request. After receipt of public comments from the 15-day public comment period, the City of Rio Rancho will summarize the comments received in the final CAPER submitted to HUD on or before September 30, 2022.
