Telescopes will be the topic of this month’s Rio Rancho Astronomical Society’s meeting.

Stephen Snider, vice president of the Rio Rancho group and president of the Albuquerque Astronomical Society, will talk about types of telescopes, how they work and which would be best for individual observers at 7:30 p.m. March 31 at the Rainbow Park Observatory, 301 Southern Blvd., behind Rainbow Pool.

The meeting is free and open to the public. Telescopes will be available for public stargazing after the meeting, weather permitting.
