The Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) Foundation launched its 2022 Outreach Grants cycle Jan. 10.

The foundation will accept proposals for Education and Community Outreach Grants at a $5,000 funding level.

Eligible applicants include pueblos and tribal communities, school districts, nonprofit educational institutions, IRS-qualified 501(c)3 organizations and government agencies serving sovereign tribal communities or Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe and Taos counties.

The foundation categorizes proposals into two groups: Education Outreach and Community Outreach. Education Outreach proposals provide services that directly support public education programs and educators for grades K–12 during in- and out-of-school time. Community Outreach Grants support learners of all ages by funding community-based programs that help families and individuals thrive, learn and fully engage within their community.
