The company, which has operations in Rio Rancho, calls for an immediate end to this war and swift return to peace.

Intel Corp., in a statement issued on Thursday, said it has suspended all shipments to its customers in Russia and Belarus, a move sparked by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Intel, the statement said, “condemns the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.”

“We are working to support all of our employees through this difficult situation, especially those with close ties to this region,” the statement said. “We have launched an employee donation and matching campaign through the Intel Foundation that has already raised over $1.2 million for relief efforts.”

Intel said it is calling for an “immediate end to this war and a swift return to peace.”

Intel in Rio Rancho recently announced that it will invest $3.5 billion to equip its New Mexico operations for the manufacturing of advanced semiconductor packaging technologies, including Foveros, Intel’s breakthrough 3D packaging technology.

The investment is expected to create at least 700 high-tech jobs and 1,000 construction jobs and support an additional 3,500 jobs in the state. Construction is presently under way.
