Intel – New Mexico

Intel Corp., which has 1,200 employees in Russia, has suspended all operations there.

In a statement Wednesday, Intel said that it “continues to join the global community in condemning Russia’s war against Ukraine and calling for a swift return to peace. Effective immediately, we have suspended all business operations in Russia. This follows our earlier decision to suspend all shipments to customers in Russia and Belarus.”

Intel has also taken steps to minimize the disruption of its global operations, according to the statement.

“Our thoughts are with everyone who has been impacted by this war, particularly the people of Ukraine and the surrounding countries and all those around the world with family, friends and loved ones in the region,” the company says according to the statement.

Intel has operations in the Rio Rancho area where it employs about 2,000.The company is in the midst of expanding its New Mexico operations and adding another 700 employees.
