Rio Rancho Fire and Rescue is continuing its investigation of last weekend’s house fire at 1856 Doral Park Road SE.

Evidence obtained at the scene is being analyzed and results could take several weeks, Battalion Chief Ryan Floersheim said Wednesday afternoon.

Early Sunday morning, Fire and Rescue and Rio Rancho Police Department were dispatched to a call of a structure fire and a person missing.

By the time they arrived at the scene, a large portion of the house was engulfed in flames. A piece of the roof collapsed shortly after they arrived.

RRFR later found two people dead inside the home, 25-year-old Josiah Inventor and 26-year-old Clarissa Bradfield, according to a City of Rio Rancho press release.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
