Albuquerque National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for Albuquerque and Rio Rancho.
Widespread hot, dry, windy and unstable conditions will return today. Breezy to locally windy conditions combined with several hours of low relative humidity will create critical fire weather conditions in much of central and northern NM.
Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
Sunny, with a high near 96 and a low around 57. Windy, with a southwest wind 15 to 20 mph increasing to 25 to 30 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.
