Listen to the weather

Today will be much like yesterday in that it will be hot and humid during the day. Then, it might rain.

It is a good day to see a movie. Depending on your preference, there are quite a few new ones out. I am going to try to see Lightyear, finally. For those who grew up with Toy Story, you know Lightyear is a must.

Rain always drives me to the movies. So does the heat. So depending on what happens, it works for both.

“Everywhere except for the SE will likely get some rain. Flash floods are possible,” Albuquerque National Weather Service Meteorologist Scott Overpeck said.

Hopefully, the rain is enough to cool us all off.

Here’s today’s look ahead:

Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 92 and a low around 68. Chance of precipitation is 50%- 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Other movies that are out:

Where the Crawdads Sing

Thor: Love and Thunder
