Today is just the beginning of what will be a hot week for Rio Rancho.

Although localized critical fire weather conditions are expected Wednesday and Thursday, widespread hot, dry, windy and unstable conditions will return Friday which will be preceded by poor overnight humidity recovery.

Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
