Hakes Brothers is building a new residential community in Rio Rancho.

Called Melon Ridge, the community consists of 155 home sites ranging from 1,366 square feet to 2,380 square feet. Prices start at $369,990, according to the announcement.

It’s located off Melon Ridge Loop NE near the Lowe’s Home Improvement Center off of Northern Blvd.

The open-concept homes will include three and four bedrooms, 2-2.5 baths and the choice of a Tuscan or Mediterranean elevation.

Hakes released the announcement on Melon Ridge and a second project, Cerro Vista, in Albuquerque on Aug. 8.

Melon Ridge “provides a rare opportunity for area buyers to purchase a new home under the $400’s price threshold,” according to the announcement.

Both Melon Ridge and Cerro Vista are available for sale, with grand opening events scheduled for this winter.

Founded in 2006, Hakes Brothers has grown to become the largest homebuilder based in New Mexico.

With recent expansions in Texas, Hakes Brothers is also one of the largest homebuilders in the region.
