After a recent trip to Colorado, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has tested positive for COVID.

The 62-year old governor hasn’t tested positive for COVID until now.

“This morning I tested positive for COVID-19. I am very grateful to be experiencing only mild symptoms after being fully vaccinated and twice boosted, and I will continue my work on behalf of New Mexicans while working remotely,” she said in a twitter post.

According to a statement made by her office, she is isolating at the governor’s residence and will continue her official schedule remotely per state and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines and protocol.

She continues to ask people to get vaccinated and get all rounds of the vaccine.
