Family Music Festivals at Wildlife West

Watermelon Mountain Jug Band playing their unique musical instruments using washtub bass, jaw harp, washboard, kazoos, jugs and various percussions as well as guitar and banjo, along with their 5-time State Champion Fiddle player. Then at 7 p.m., The Western Hers, all-female band take the stage and will bring the best in classic country tunes.
Between performances get the rare opportunity to be eye to eye with two curious cougars, 500-pound black bear, four tree-climbing grey foxes, elk and 20 species of native wildlife and raptors in the wildlife zoo.  Enjoy dinner in the park from local venders and watch the free-flight raptor show by world-renowned falconer, Tom Smylie.

Mariposa Harvest Fair

There will be food trucks, live music, more than 60 vendors, arts and crafts, a children’s booth. jewelry, yard art and woodworkers among vendors. The silent auction is sponsored by the Artists of Mariposa. There also will be a free $50 raffle drawing every hour. The event is hosted by the Mariposa Lifestyle Committee and the Mariposa Homeowners Association. Mariposa’s community center cafe, Bree’s, Cool Beans,  will also be open. The event and parking is free.  Restrooms are available in the community center.
