“We’re continually evolving to serve our loyal Bed Bath & Beyond customers better – whether they come to us at one of our 900-plus stores or are one of the millions who shop with us online each year,” said company spokeswoman Jessica Joyce in an email statement.
“As well as great deals this holiday season, we’re giving our most popular stores a multi-million-dollar facelift and continually investing in our digital platform to give customers an even better shopping experience in-store or at home. We are also closing a limited number of stores that no longer meet the standards our customers expect from us, including our Rio Rancho location.”
She said the Bed Bath and Beyond at Cottonwood Corners and on San Mateo in Albuquerque will stay open.
Bed Bath and Beyond opened its doors four years ago in Plaza at Enchanted Hills. Amy Goldfarb, asset manager of plaza owner TDA Investment Group, said the space is being advertised and she is confident TDA can re-lease it.
