The city of Rio Rancho will put on a Pet Tacular for Easter on April 1 at Campus Park.

Pets will be able to get photos with the Easter Bunny and participate in an Easter egg hunt.

There will also be a pet parade, costume contest, pet adopt-a-thon, vendors and food trucks. Organizers are looking for vendors and rescue groups in the area to help put on the event.

According to the city, all participants must have proof of vaccinations, and pets must be wearing tags to register for events. Animal participants are subject to the approval of city staff, who will assess appropriateness, temperament and health.

There is a small fee for pets to participate, and registration for pet Easter egg hunt and costume contest is on-site.
