The City of Rio Rancho will have a runoff election for the District 3 city council seat, since no candidate in the March 1 election received a majority of the votes cast.

Early and absentee voting for registered Rio Rancho residents in District 3 is available from March 22 to April 9. Election Day voting is April 12.

Early voting locations:

  • Broadmoor Senior Center (Clerk’s Annex), 3241 Broadmoor Blvd.
    • Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Plaza @ Enchanted Hills, 7845 Enchanted Hills Blvd, Suite 100
    • March 26 through April 9, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Both early voting locations will offer same-day voter registration.

Absentee Voting

Individuals can vote absentee by filling out an absentee application and submitting it to the City Clerk’s Office. The last day for a voter to request an absentee by mail ballot is April 7. The last day for the City Clerk’s Office to mail an absentee ballot is April 8.
