Two people were found dead after a house fire at 1856 Doral Park Road SE in Rio Rancho early Sunday.
Rio Rancho Fire and Rescue and Rio Rancho Police Department were dispatched to a call of a structure fire and a person missing. By the time they arrived at the scene, a large portion of the house was engulfed in flames. A piece of the roof collapsed shortly after they arrived.
RRFR later found two people dead inside the home, 25-year-old Josiah Inventor and 26-year-old Clarissa Bradfield, according to a City of Rio Rancho press release.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined as of Monday afternoon.
The State Police fire investigator and the State Fire Marshal’s Office have been contacted to assist with the investigation, and the State Police fire investigator is leading the work.
