COVID-19 hospitalizations in New Mexico resumed the recent cycle of intermittent upticks immediately following gradual drops.

The state Department of Health reported Tuesday there are currently 51 people hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19. The latest hospitalization count went up from 38 reported Monday.

Three of those patients are on ventilators as of Tuesday.

NMDOH also reported 158 new COVID-19 cases (with a test positivity rate of just under 3 percent) and 11 new COVID-19 deaths on Tuesday.
