COVID-19 hospitalizations in New Mexico ticked up, despite new case counts holding steady.

The state Department of Health reported Thursday there are currently 60 people hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19, up from 48 reported hospitalizations on Wednesday. Six of those hospitalized patients are on ventilators as of Thursday.

NMDOH also reported 176 new COVID-19 cases (with a test positivity rate of about 2.5 percent) and 10 new COVID-19 deaths on Thursday.

The cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in the state is now up to 519,681. The cumulative number of COVID-19 deaths is now up to 7,400.
