New Mexico continues to see higher COVID-19 case counts in recent days.

The state Department of Health’s reported a combined 7,487 new cases since June 15. That includes 3,055 cases spanning four days that were reported Tuesday, plus 926 new cases Wednesday.

The test positivity rate Tuesday and Wednesday were about 13.8 percent and about 12.8 percent, respectively.

As of Wednesday, there are currently 175 people hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19, including 14 patients on ventilators.
