COVID-19 hospitalizations, test positivity rate continue to rise in NM

The number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients continues to steadily rise in New Mexico, as does the latest test positivity rate.

The state Department of Health reported on Tuesday there are 78 people hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19, including 10 patients on ventilators. NMDOH also reported 373 new cases, with a test positivity rate of about 7.1 percent.

NMDOH also reported an additional 16 COVID-19 deaths on Tuesday, bringing the total to 7,638.

Since the start of the pandemic, New Mexico’s accumulated 527,534 COVID-19 cases.
