Statewide COVID-19 hospitalizations in New Mexico continue to plummet, dropping to their lowest point since last July.
The state Department of Health reported Friday there are 76 people hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19, which is the first time since July 9, 2021 that New Mexico saw a number less than 80. There were 77 statewide hospitalizations for COVID-19 that day.
As of Friday, 13 individuals hospitalized in the state for COVID-19 are on ventilators.
NMDOH also reported 94 new COVID-19 cases (with a test positivity rate of about 1.7 percent) and five new COVID-19 deaths on Friday.
