COVID-19 hospitalizations in New Mexico continue to plummet, reaching its lowest point since the early months of the pandemic.

The state Department of Health reported Thursday that 63 people are hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19, a number not seen since Sept. 20, 2020. The state reported 64 COVID-19 hospitalizations that day.

As of Thursday, six hospitalized patients are on ventilators.

NMDOH also reported 126 new COVID-19 cases (with a test positivity rate of about 1.6 percent) and 18 new COVID-19 deaths on Thursday.
