With the creation of the CARES Act grant in 2020 and the Small Business Continuity Grant, Sandoval County helped nearly 100 small businesses over two years.

According to its press release, the county assisted local small businesses with grant awards ranging from $2,000 to $100,000. Between American Rescue Plan Act allocations and CARES Act grants, the county dispersed a total of $2 million, per the press release.

To date, Sandoval County’s received $14.3 million in ARPA funding from the federal government, per the release.

“Setting aside this grant funding was an important step for Sandoval County,” District 3 Commissioner Michael Meek said in the release. “It shows how important our local businesses are to us and helps keep our economy strong.”
