BERNALILLO — Sandoval County has hired a new attorney.
At their special meeting Thursday morning, commissioners voted unanimously to hire Michael Eshleman to replace retiring County Attorney Robin Hammer. According to the employment contract, Eshleman will make $125,000 a year plus benefits and start his new position July 17.
The contract is for two years, with the option to renew and the salary re-evaluated for a possible raise after a year.
