Cleveland High School grabbed top honors in the NM Pageant of Bands in the 5A division.

The high school also won first in People’s Choice, brass, woodwinds, percussion, soloist and color guard.

Rio Rancho High School placed third. Organ Mountain finished second.

Rio Rancho High School’s stadium was loaded on Saturday, Oct. 29 … with music and high school bands Saturday.

In all, 27 bands competed for the awards.

This is a repeat for Cleveland, which finished in first in 2021 and was deemed People’s Choice.

Rio Rancho finished first in 4A in 2021.
