On Monday, April 11, the Cleveland High varsity boys and girls golf teams participated in the Albuquerque Academy Invite at Tanoan Country Club.
The Storm boys finished second behind Albuquerque Academy, which dominated on its home course.
Competing for the Storm was senior Ethan Manhan, leading the way with an 84;, freshman James Lockhart (88), junior Jaden Gallegos (88), senior Treyvin Harrington (96) and junior Aiden Paquin (96)
Other teams competing were Rio Rancho, which was third, and fourth-place Hope Christian.
On the girls’ side, Storm junior Lilliana McKinley shot a 99 on the difficult Tanoan course.  She finished  as the only public high school player in the top nine.
Next up for Cleveland will be the APS Metro Championships on April 25 at Ladera Golf Course.
