Star Heights Recreation Center is set to offer tutoring and homework help for students struggling with their schoolwork and those just needing basic help.
There will be tutors at the center Monday through Friday from 4-6 p.m. through May 20. Space is limited, and tutors are hired specifically to assist students with schoolwork.
Students ages 8-17 can participate, and the cost is $50 per week. Tutors can provide specialized homework help, moderate small study groups, assist with academic and co-curricular achievement, identify skills needing improvement, check work for accuracy and provide intensive learning.
No transportation provided. Students will have to be dropped off.
