The City of Rio Rancho will be hosting a Veterans Day parade on November 11 at 10:00 am.
Parade line-up is from 8:00 am to 9:30 am along the west side of Country Club. Float judging will be from 9:30 am to 10:00 am.
The parade will kick off at 10:00 am and travel east on Southern Boulevard where it will conclude at Veteran’s Park, near the intersection of Southern Boulevard and Pinetree.
Immediately following the parade, participants and spectators can take part in the Veterans Day Memorial Service starting at 11:00 am at the Veterans Memorial Park (adjacent Ester Bone Library).
The city asks that people spectate and “make signs, wave your flags, and show your support!”
If you don’t wish to enter a float or group in the parade, be a spectator, cheer from side-lines and enjoy the beautiful floats, marching bands, Veterans groups, and more. Make signs, wave your flags, and show your support!
Everyone is welcome to participate in the parade, and people don’t have to be a Veteran or a Veteran-related organization to march in the parade. You can enter into the parade by visiting www.rrnm.gov/ActiveNet or by calling 505-891-5015.
According to the City floats must register online. Registration starts now and ends on November 4.
