Rio Rancho Mayor Gregg Hull
In commemoration of the 911 terrorist attacks in 2001, the City of Rio Rancho will hold a memorial service this Sunday at 7 a.m. at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Road, SE.
During Thursday night’s Governing Body meeting, Mayor Greggory Hull read a city proclamation calling, in part, for Rio Rancho citizens to “always remember the lives that were lost on September 11.”
Commemorating 911 is important, Hull said, especially for those born after the attacks, as commemorations provide an opportunity “to remember and teach.”
Hull is expected to speak at Sunday’s service.
