The city of Rio Rancho is asking the public for input on the use of Federal Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant funds.
The input will be used to help the inform the planning process on funding for low-income residents. The Community Development Block Grant is an entitlement program that is administered through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development each year. Rio Rancho has received the grant since 2000. The amount changes each year but is typically more than $400,000 and used to provide services to low- to moderate-income residents and eligible neighborhoods.
A short survey has been developed to summarize the extent of housing needs and gaps in services/availability in the city of Rio Rancho.
The survey links are available in English and Spanish and will be available until March 1.
