The Corrales Historical Society will host its annual Festival of the Nativities from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 16-17 at Old San Ysidro Churchs.

According a press release, there will be more than 100 special nativities, also called crèches, from around the world.

This event is free, but the release says donations are welcome. Proceeds go to preservation and maintenance of the Old Church.

“We are so pleased to welcome our friends, neighbors and visitors to view these unique nativities from around the world in the historic Old Church … a gift to the community from CHS. Once again, we are asking our CHS membership to loan us their favorite nativities, with brief descriptions, to make it a little more personal,” Alice Glover of the Festival Committee said.

The release also says the poinsettias decorating the Old Church will be shared with homebound Sandoval County neighbors after the event to brighten their holiday season.
