Here’s a message for elected officials: We completed new home construction on Chessman Drive eight months ago in an area where the gravel road of Garden empties on to Chessman.
There are no gutters, sewer drains, or curbs in this area in both directions. The horrendous rains of spring 2021 caused havoc in this area.
We pay our taxes like all other Rio Rancho residents but yet aren’t getting the benefits we badly need. Our local elected official, the mayor — no one has addressed this with us. It’s an election year.
What is going to be done about this major sewer/curb/gutter problem on Chessman, not to mention a hilly gravel road among paved roads? Please, elected members, we need help.
