For the first time ever, High Times is expanding its Cannabis Cup to New Mexico.

Judging for the cannabis competition began Saturday and runs through Aug. 20. The winners will be announced at a live show on Sept. 4 at the Rio Rancho Events Center featuring performances by Method Man and Redman.

New Mexico adult-use cannabis sales launched on April 1, 2022. On that day alone, consumers swarmed nearby dispensaries with a huge $3 million in sales during its first weekend and has kept a steady rise in sales ever since.

New Mexican consumers can pick up a judge kit at 23 dispensaries across the state until the kits are sold out. Each kit will feature locally grown products, like gummies, flowers, pre-rolls, concentrates and more.
