Editor:
The annual Rio Rancho Kiwanis “Buy Rio Rancho” holiday sign design contest is ongoing.
Students can win great prizes as well as have their sign displayed all over town through the holidays. We want to be sure we haven’t missed any applications, so we have extended the deadline to Oct. 18.
Will Cleveland High School keep the title? Or will Rio Rancho High School, Rio Rancho Cyber Academy or Independence High School take the trophy home?
Here is your chance to represent your school!
This contest is open only to high school students in Rio Rancho, so they should visit BuyRioRancho.com for the application and submit it to [email protected], or leave it at their school office’s front desk and a member of the Rio Rancho Kiwanis Club will pick them up.
On Nov. 13 at the Rio Rancho Governing Body meeting at City Hall, we will announce the second- and third-place winners, followed by a presentation to the first-place winner. The winning sign will be presented, and the design will be part of the citywide sign displays during the Christmas season.
Good luck, students!
