Staffing shortage shutters Corrales Bistro temporarily. (Maureen Cooke/For The Observer)

Corrales Bistro, a popular restaurant and home of live music in The Village of Corrales has become a victim of the area’s staffing shortages.

On its Facebook site, the bistro posted: “Sadly the rumors are true. The Corrales Bistro will be closed for the near future due to staff shortages in the front of house. We are working to reorganize! Sorry for the inconvenience. Until further notice all events will be cancelled. Updates will be posted here!”

On its door, the restaurant has printed the message on a sheet of paper. The sign reads: “The Bistro is temporarily closed due to staffing issues. We hope to reopen soon.”

Patrons on Facebook said they look forward to the restaurant reopening. Said another: “Sad news.”

Calls to the restaurant by The Observer went unanswered on Thursday, but the Bistro has had to shut for lunch for the same reasons earlier this year.

We will update as we find out more.
