The City of Rio Rancho is working to repair a water main break on Enchanted Hills Boulevard and Jager Drive.

The incident occurred about mid-morning on Thursday.

The city has shutdown water service so it can make the repairs.

This will affect six businesses in the area including McDonalds.

Work could take about 8-10 hours, city spokeswoman Annemarie Garcia said.

Traffic is being diverted away from Enchanted Hills Boulevard and Jager Drive.

The cause of the water main break is unknown.

More details will follow as soon as they become available.
