Bullying Policies at Rio Rancho Public Schools

Rio Rancho Public Schools is committed to providing a safe, respectful and fear-free environment for all members of the school community, and we are 100% against bullying.

We spend substantial  time investigating, talking with students and working with security officers and law enforcement, etc when instances of bullying are reported.

We do not tolerate it and any student who is found to be participating in bullying will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including suspension, expulsion and even possible criminal charges. While we go to great lengths to eliminate bullying during school, our ability to intercede does not extend to times outside of the school day.  Please be sure as parents you are monitoring your student’s text messages, social media accounts and online activity, disciplining your child when they misbehave, and reinforcing kindness and how to treat one another.

RRPS has a link on every school website to make a bullying report:

We all have the power to create positive environments and stop bullying. We must work together to bring civility and kindness back to our schools and community.
