Where are the kittens?
We have just passed through the traditional “kitten season,” March to May, and I heard not one call for people to foster or adopt, or, “Wow, the shelter is overrun with kittens.”
Did all the female cats get COVID and not have babies this year? Have so many people finally done spay/neuter that there aren’t lots of unwanted litters?
Or … have all those sweet fur babies been quietly euthanized at shelters all over the state? Hard to believe we are really having a year with no kittens.
