RIO RANCHO, N.M. – The City of Rio Rancho is seeking applicants interested in serving on its newly established Investment Advisory Board.
Individuals interested in volunteering to serve on the board are encouraged to apply by no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, 2022.
Applications and résumés will be accepted and considered until all positions are filled. Those interested can apply via the city’s website, www.rrnm.gov/applicationform, or can submit their documentation to the city clerk’s office located at Rio Rancho City Hall, 3200 Civic Center Circle. The board consists of seven members that are municipal residents. Knowledge or professional experience in public finance or public funds investing is desirable for board members to possess.
One member of the board shall be appointed from each of the six City Council Districts and one member will be appointed at-large. The mayor of Rio Rancho will make all board appointments, subject to confirmation by the Governing Body (Mayor and City Council). Board members will serve terms ranging from one to three years.
The duties and responsibilities of the board pertain to the city’s Permanent Fund and other investment portfolios via review of applicable policies; providing input to the Governing Body regarding the use of interest and dividend earnings and additional contributions to the Permanent Fund; and review of investment reports, portfolios, advisors, and compliance.
