The New Mexico Department of Health reported 215 new COVID-19 cases and 12 new COVID-related deaths Thursday.

The test positivity rate was 2.4 percent, two-tenths of a percent lower than Wednesday, even though the case count was higher by 18.

On Thursday, 107 people were hospitalized with COVID in New Mexico and 17 percent of them were on ventilators, according to NMDOH numbers.

New Mexico has suffered 7,128 deaths from COVID-19 and reported more than 516,000 cases of the disease, according to the DOH.
